12 of 52 [08-09]

Luckily, I caught one photo before it snowed AGAIN!!!! I thought it was called Spring Break, not Snow Break. Oh well.... :) Played around with it in PhotoShop quite a bit. I'm starting to think that all my projects are turning out kind of the same. Maybe I'll aim for something slightly more subtle next week. Heehee...

#11 of 52 creations 'growth'

hi doll....welcome home!   hope it was a very fruitful weekend....can't wait to hear

i have to be honest .....this was a shot from a while ago......i liked it so i kept it for....maybe, just a moment as this:     i had a different 'shot' in mind for today, had it figured out, just needed a lil tweeking, a lil more set-up... kind of had the whole day sort- of -thing, i was doing 10,000 different to-do tasks.......lauren came home from guards, jojo had some thots needing a 'family' conversation and, BEFORE I KNEW IT, I LOST MY DAYLIGHT WHICH WAS NEEDED !!
oh my...i tried with the overhead light on but all i got was reflection...........tomorrow is a pretty full day for me so i decided to go this route and save my original thot for next week

i feel like i'm cheating just a bit..........    : (        it sort of matches my energy level right now tho...i'm fading fast
and i most cetainly don't even expect to see one from you tonight, dearheart..............

10 of 52 [08-09]

Clearly, I was goofing around with PhotoShop this week. :) I took the picture at an antique store on Broadway and couldn't get past the 'circus-y' feel to it, so I decided to have a little fun. It's pretty over-the-top, but it made me smile...The original is down below for reference. Fun times!

#10 of 52 creations 'superior' stacking

oh sweetie.........i know this is over the top.... but the scene was so unbelievable, i actually got some sort of cool shots and i wanted you to gain a fuller sense of the entire wonder.............isn't God amazing?       add to this, a sunny mid 50 degree day and well,.......it was soul-filling, that's for sure!!!!!

there is a whole lot of stacking going on here, so i guess you can take your pick this week   : )

9 of 52 [08-09]

I had two ideas this week--Either I was going to draw a tiny sad face on a blank piece of white paper, and take an out-of-focus picture of it, or I was going to try and find a flower blooming in the neighborhood after a week of gorgeous weather. Clearly, I've been feeling simultaneously conflicting feelings this week...sometimes, elated with the thought of warmer weather and longer days, and sometimes--well--just flat out sad to be leaving a familiar job and a familiar house. Walking around today, the flower won. :) My camera battery was low, so I only was able to take this one photo. But, I loved the orange/purple combo especially among the leftover "brown" of winter. Almost 10 weeks in...Can you believe it?

#9 of 52 creations '"stem design"

well, here goes another week........this time, i was thinking of 'stringing' as a form of 'stacking'........ (and crossing one more item off my still-to-do- list!!!!)

here is em's little embellishment for her 21st birthday goblet---kind of fun to do!
pink is her color, with gold accentuating the rim so thot i would bring that touch down into the design, also

neither jo nor i got to meet with her, tho, while she was home on break....jojo was still sick for their lunch date and em was sick with bad menstrual cramps for her and my shamrock date.....
double bummer!!!     her next time home is in august, so...........we'll have to write it in pen on our calendar then    : )

8 of 52 [08-09]

Wow. Finally. I actually took this a week and a half ago--I was driving home, and couldn't get past the color of the sky. It was an eerie evening for sure! I took this in my car, while I was waiting at a stop light, so I had about 10 seconds to get a good capture. The original picture is the 2nd--you can see the stop light and the 'one way' sign in the original. I cropped it, and figured out how to use PhotoShop to actually make that go away. Cole showed me that a few weeks ago, and then I remembered how to do it all on my own! I had absolutely no help with this one, and am pretty proud of that. Heehee... Hooray for the learning curve! :) (And to husbands who are extremely talented designers.)

#8 of 52 creations "truly 3D"

i found this to be an interesting 'stacking'/ layering of spatial planes....i was sitting on the couch one morn and saw this:     it is a reflection of 1. our sparkle tree outside on the deck, 2. through the french exterior door, 3. in the mirror of our white cabinet in the sunporch!

maybe not the most prize-winning photo, but i loved the concept!!!     and, once again, certainly not the most colorful ...teehee
